Let's face it, for the most part, we are all here because
A: We like wrestling
and/or
B: We like writing
I'm here due to both, so let's talk wrestling.
The WWF circa-1995 is what got me curious about wrestling, the WCW circa-1997 is what cemented the fact that I like wrestling, and Ring of Honor circa 2004 is what cemented the fact that I want to do it, so I did. I've been an active independent wrestler in the states of Connecticut, Massachussetts, and Maine for the last 4 years.
My favorite guys to watch are junior technicians, guys like Benoit, Malenko, Jericho, Danielson, Fergal Devitt, Davey Richards, the ones who know their mat wrestling, hit hard, and can fly a little too.
Haven't seen Fergal Devitt vs Davey Richards from NJPW 5/26/11? Well, you're in luck.
I also have to give a shout-out to CM Punk vs Austin Aries from Weekend Of Thunder Night 1 in November of 2004. Match is rather underrated.
So what got you into wrestling? Who are some of your favorite wrestlers? What are some of your favorite matches?

I got into wrestling back in 2002. However the first time I enjoyed an entire year was 2004. When Evolution, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and several others were at their peak. I grew up respecting Chris Benoit and seeing him pull of great matches with Randy Orton, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kane and several others was a great sight. ButI'm pretty sure you've already seen those matches. My favourite match has to be the Benoit/Triple H/ Shawn Michaels Triple Threat at WrestleMania XX. It had high flying spots, mat wrestling, brawling it was a hell of a night all round and its a shame WWE are being [pissy about Benoit. Yes I know what he did was wrong but people forgot what he did DINSIDE the ring. He produced countless amazing matches but anywyas back to topic... I can't watch Ring of Honour regularly but I have seen the likes of Colt Cabana, Tyler Black, Bryan Danielson and Austin Ares in action at their shows on youtube. The first time i watched TNA was in 2008 when the Bound for Glory 2007 DVD came out. The mid-card matches were solid however the main event was lacking. The greatest matches in TNA have to be between Christopher Daniels/AJ Styles/Samoa Joe. However the recent TNA Destination X Main Event between Styles and Daniels didn't live up to expectations. It was good but how X-Division can you be when you have more injuries then Edge? Adding Somoa Joe would have spaced it out abit nad allowed Daniels to pull of a few mroehigh risk spots and then rest rather having these rediculousl long periods in between... So yeah my favourite wrestlers at the moment have to be CM Punk, Tyler Black, AJ Styles, Chris Jericho and Christopher Daniels. If you look back in tmie I'd also have to add in Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero and Shawn Michaels. And yes I have done some research and watched msot of the storyline from the Attitude Era watching the letdowns of Invasion, Survivor Series and the lot. Did enjoy the Armageddon Hell in a Cell Match though . So yeah most ofmy favourite matches you will have already seen. Like I said i don't have access to DragonGate, ROH or NJPW however I have watched numerous matches online.

Your mention of the 6 way Armageddon match has me thinking of Rikishi's bump off the top of the cell. My spine hurts just thinking about it. Gross. Cool match though.
I wholeheartedly agree on the Benoit scene. Might be my favorite ever, and its a huge shame that his memory is what it is. His work is still incredible to watch to this day.
Glad you mentioned the ROH guys. Hopefully, Tyler Black will have a good run with WWE. The matches him and Bourne could have would be incredible. I'm sad Colt didn't get more of a chance at the big-time while he was there.
I actually think the best TNA match I've ever seen is one of the early three way dances between AJ Styles, Low Ki, and Jerry Lynn. It was from 2002 during the Weekly PPV era. So good. The Unbreakable 3 way was really good too. Joe is being horribly underutilized in TNA. I hear Stone Cold is a fan of his, so maybe he'll be headed to WWE in time.
You already mentioned the best Triple Threat of all time in Benoit/HHH/HBK. Incredible match highlighted by an incredible moment between Benoit and Eddie afterwards.
Judging by what you've mentioned, you'd probably really dig that Davey/Devitt match I posted, if you haven't seen it already. Davey is as close to the next Benoit as there will ever be, and Devitt is probably the best junior in the world right now.

I'll watch it when it buffers the internet is terrible...
Yeah that Armageddon was one of the best hell in a cell matcjes but speaking of hell in a cells why doesn't anyone ever mention the Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood 2004. Yes it amy have went on a little too long but it was a great match none-the-less and a hell of a way to end a feud... Pun not intended.
Yeah like I said i only hurt of TNA back in 2008 when i spotted a Bound for Glory 2007 DVD in a shop and bought it out of curiousity. Why would Dixie Carter rope in Hogan, Bischoff AND Russo? I mean seriouslyit's just rediculously stupid ot bring in the 3 biggest failures inWCW's history Vince Russo: The spider with a pen... seriously I could write storylines better than he did back in 99... Hulk Hogan: The favouritism booker... and Eric Bischoff: The man who hates the IWC...
Glad to see WWE finally waking up from their PG Era/Error. I mean seriously theres a problem when a global world wide company who got 50,000 Buys on a bad day back in 2004 is only got 35,000 when there throwing everything they got into it. Hopefully the majority of fans are wrong and they haven't drop the ball on the CM Punk Angle. I would personally lvoe to see Colt Caban and Tyler Black debut at SummerSlam during some sort of gimmick match ebtwen Cena when Triple H and Rey Mysterio interfere because lets face it storyline wise the best angle to go for would be some sort of revenge for CM Punk leaving for a whole 8 days... Then he can attack The Rock if he appears setting up Rock vs. Punk at Survivor Series have Cena interfere turn heel and then set up Rock/Cena for Mania and Punk/Triple H for the Royal Rumble. Then have Jericho return at Rumble win it and face Punk at Mania! Seriously these two could but on a possible match of the decade. Jericho the "Best in the World" vs. CM Punk "The Best WRESLTER in the World"...
ROH I might try and find a stable source of viewing and I really do believe that WWE doesn't deserve to do this to Chris Bennoit even if what he had done was despicable he was taking Steroids to get over pain and continue working WWE hectic schedules putting on 5 Star Matchs almost everywhere he went. He gave himselfmore concussion than tou could count whilst wrestling and it was only a matter of time before that caught up to his apparent paranoia and dementia. He doesn't deserve to be removed from WWE History completely remember what he did professionally not personally...

I got into wrestling in the late 90's/early 2000's. I kinda stopped watching for awhile when WWE turned to the PG era, because it mostly just started to annoy the shit out of me. I've gotten back into it pretty heavy recently though, seeing as WWE finally has some decent story lines and matches. In addition to that I've been watching some ROH DVD's as well. Growing up I was a big fan of DX and Stone Cold because I was 12 and they were cool. Now that I'm older I'm starting to appreciate guys like CM Punk and Colt Cabana more.

Yeah the PG Era is sort fo terrible... I mean how could we take feuds seriously when Sheamus was being called a "Human Jar of Marmalade" I mean WTF!? How could Sheamus take offense in a realistic or kayfabe world? Even though I'm young I believe myself to be a logical mature thinker and person. And sometimes the PG Era crossed the line between normal and retarded... I mean The Miz w/ Alex Riley vs. John Cena in an I Quit Match. Exactly how many weapons did they use on John Cena in a25 minute period? And yet the one move hit on the Miz is an STF and it makes him squeal? Why do they build Cena like that... I'm just waiting for the day Someone makes Cena quit by "setting him on fire"... Of course this is the PG Era and the next we see fire will most likely be never again... Colt Cabana is apparentally in negotiations with WWE and given Punks return it wouldn't surprise if they had to sign him up to a long time deal aswell... Cabana stated in an interview that he hated that his Mainstream Rep was "Scotty Goldman" so I look forward to the rise of a new stable.... CM Punk, Low Ki, Luke Gallows, Tyler Black, Colt Cabana, Ace Steel and maybe even Danielson. I mean think about it... How good would it be stroyline wise to havea heel Daniel Bryan with a briefcase to back up Punk's WWE Title. Bryan could cash it in win the World Title and they could controll both Brands... Which btw with the appaerance of Ryder, Morrison and Truth on SmackDown may hint at the Brand Extension coming to an end...
Hopefully Punk has ushered ina new era. Been waiting for one for the past 5 years... And all it took the "The Best Wrestler in the World"

i can remember watching my first wrestling TBS back in the early 80s watching the Rock n Roll Express, Midnight Express, The Fantastics and the Road Warriors and then to see someone like Dusty Rhodes.
I think for the best stuff i watched was the old ECW i have been hooked on hardcore ever since. I dont mean CZW or something like that but just good brutal hardcore my fav was probably the Stiarway to Hell match or anything from Sabu.

I was to damn lazy to read these long ass posts so I am going to just make mine very simple.
I don't remember the first time I watched any type of wrestling show. Although, my favorite wrestlers are Jeff Hardy, CM Punk, Bobby Roode, Sting, Taker and I have more but it's a long list.
