Saturday Night Showdown #1
Live from the Showdown Arena, Atlanta, Georgia, 8,976 in attendance
Saturday Night Showdown's official theme song blasts over the PA system around the arena as fireworks bolt around the arena, flashing and cracking. The fans cheer as Stevie Jackson's voice takes over the mic.
Stevie Jackson: Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls I welcome you to the first ever episode of Saturday Night Showdown. And am happy to announce that this show is officially on the road.
The fans cheer wildly.
John Smith: Good evening ladies and gentlemen and what a night we have got planned. Just two matches, however two huge matches.
Kash: Yes what a night it is going to be. First off we have a singles re-match from The Big Bang. Jordan Moss took a sneaky win there but I can't see it happening again.
John Smith: I couldn't be too sure Kash but for our main event it's going to be our Television Champion Patrick Steel and Tyler Hiroko taking on TJ Black and Johnny Nailz, in his debut match. And that I'm damn sure is going to be one hell of a firery match.
Kash: I deffinately think that our champion and Hiroko are going to wipe the floor with those other to. But I'm being told right now that we are going over to Millie Myers who is with Patrick Steel.
We cut backstage. Television Champion Patrick Steel is seen entering the arena, a gym bag slung over his shoulder. The crowd erupts in a chorus of boos at the sight of him. Millie Myers runs up to him, microphone in hand.
[Pink]Millie Myers: Patrick, a quick word?[/Pink]
[Teal]Patrick Steel: Ugh. What? Need a sound bite? What could I possibly have to say to you?[/Teal]
[Pink]Millie Myers: Just wanted your thoughts on what the ICW Universe has been saying about you.[/Pink]
[Teal]Patrick Steel: The ICW Universe has been saying things about me? Oh my word, I hope it’s nothing bad! You know I just couldn't go on with my life if those idiots in the locker room had a low opinion of me. And even worse, what if the fat slobs in the stands think I’m a bad guy? How could I look myself in the mirror if some gas station attendant and his prostitute wife booed me? Frankly Millie, I don’t give a damn what anyone has to say about me. And do you know why I don’t care? Because I’m better than each and every one of those people. I’m a better wrestler than anyone else in this company and I’m better at life in general than our idiot fans. How many of them have a championship belt like this one I’m carrying? None, that’s how many. No one in this company can beat me in the ring, and that’s all that matters. So, why should I care what they have to say about me?[/Teal]
[Pink]Millie Myers: What about your match tonight? You’re teaming up with Tyler Hiroko to face T.J. Black and Johnny Nailz in the main event. What do you think...[/Pink]
[Teal]Patrick Steel: Let me stop you right there. I don’t think anything about this match. It’s going to be a cakewalk. My partner is the only other guy in the ICW that has any idea what he’s doing in the ring, why should I worry? Of course, that’s not to say that he’s anywhere near my level, but he’s at least competent. That said, what is there to worry about? It should be a quick match. Guess no one is gonna get their money’s worth. Oh well.[/Teal]
Steel shrugs his shoulders sarcastically and walks away.
[Pink]Millie Myers: Wow, strong words from the Television Champion Patrick Steel. Should make for an interesting match.[/Pink]
----- Saturday Night Showdown Cuts to a Commercial Break -----
John Smith: Well we heard some strong words before the break from our Television Champ Patrick Steel but now we have got our first match of the night.
Kash: Yes and it is a re-match from The Big Bang where Jordan Moss took a sneaky win. I can assure you though Jaeger is going to be out for revenge tonight.
The sound of footsteps in the rain trickles into the arena as Jaeger O'Meara makes his way towards the ring.
John Smith: And speak of the devil, he will arise. He is completely focused on his match.
Kash: He is focused on not letting Jordan Moss steal a win again.
Jaeger now steps over the top ring rope into the ring and turns to face up the ramp.
Stevie Jackson: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, he stands at 6 feet and 7 inches and weighs in at 292 pounds. Jaeger O'Meara!
The fans boo. Jaeger takes absolutely no notice and continues facing the ramp.
"How I Could Just Kill A Man" by Rage Against The Machine hits the speaker system, the vocals come in, and Jordan Moss steps through the curtain, adorned in a black sweatshirt, hood up, with the word "Kinslayer"on the back. Jordan stays focused on the ring, but quickly glances out at the crowd, nodding towards them. He rolls out his neck and begins the walk down the aisle, slapping the hands of a few fans along the way, never diverting his gaze from the opposite corner of the ring. Moss slides into the ring, and begins to bounce and hop in place, keeping his wind up. J-Mo removes his sweatshirt, as he awaits the start of the match.
Stevie Jackson: And his opponent, standing at 5 feet and 11 inches and weighing exactly 200 pounds. He is The Kinslayer Jordan Moss!
The fans cheer as the two men stare each other out in the ring.
John Smith: And this one is all about pride if you ask me. Jaeger wants to be the bigger and stronger man but Moss is ready to prove again that he is the better man.
Patrick Moore has a few short words with the two before signalling for the match to begin.
Kash: Ding, ding, ding. And we are off!
Jaeger stands over Moss looking down at him smiling. He then pushes down on Moss' head before throwing him backwards. Moss comes straight back though and delivers a series of kicks to Jaeger's thighs. He then bounces off the ropes and swings his leg but Jaeger grabs ahold. Jaeger sweeps Moss' other leg and Moss hits the mat hard.
John Smith: Did you see the way Jordan Moss' head hit the mat then?
Jaeger drops an elbow and covers Moss.
Kash: 1,2 no. I though Jaeger was going to have the match done with quickly.
Jaeger now lifts Moss and lifts him up. He walks around the ring gloating to the fans before slamming him down. He keeps ahold and lifts him, again slamming him down. Jaeger now delivers a foot to the face of Moss before covering him again.
John Smith: Jaeger O'Meara is using his strength to its full potential here. 1 .. 2 but Moss again fights out.
Jager lifts Moss up and whips him at the ropes. He tries for a clothesline on the rebound but Moss slides under and hits the ropes. Moss bounces off and hits a spear to the back of Jaeger's legs.
John Smith: And thats the Ode to Big Ray. Moss could really take the advantage here.
Kash: Jaeger needs to recover quickly.
The two men get up onto their feet at the same time and Moss delivers and onslaught of chops to Jaeger. Moss now tries to set Jaeger up for a storm cradle driver but Jaeger fights out.
John Smith: Oh and Jordan Moss was going for the Baltimore Breakdown there but O'Meara fought out.
Kash: Jager is just too powerful for Moss!
Jaeger launches Moss at the turnbuckle but Moss uses the leverage to climb it and turn. From almost nowhere he hits a drop kick straight to Jaeger's chest. Jaeger drops backwards and Moss moves swiftly for the cover.
John Smith: And that was Tequila Time. Moss with a hook of the leg, 1 .. 2 .
Kash: But Jaegers still in this one John.
Moss stays right on the attack though stomping down on Jaeger. Jaeger fights to his feet but Moss hits him with his forearms a few times. Moss delivers a few knees before whipping Jaeger at the ropes. On the return Moss jumps and swings his leg but Jaeger hits a huge elbow uppercut that knocks Moss straight down.
John Smith: Oh my god! What an uppercut, he could have taken Jordan Moss' head off!
Kash: I can feel this one being over soon.
Jaeger lifts a now limp Jordan Moss up and hits the gringo killer.
Kash: Jaeger Bomb! He's got to have this.
John Smith: 1 .. 2 .. 3
The bell rings and Jaeger O'Meara stands with his arms in the air. Some fans boo, whilst others cheer.
Stevie Jackson: Here is your winner. Jaeger O'Meara!
John Smith: Well the crowd seem to have a mixed opinion on Jaeger but he certainly put up a great fight there.
Kash: The fans just have no respect. He won the match, fair and square just like he should have done at The Big Bang and I applaud him for that.
The arena goes a little quieter as Jaeger leaves. Suddenly, "South side of Heaven" by Slayer starts playing and out walks "Antichrist" Adam Young in a black Antichrist t-shirt and jeans. The fans are in shock as he climbs into the ring.
[Purple]Adam: ICW welcome to your worst dream. I am Adam Young and I am your Antichrist. People have been bowing down before me for years and I decided to venture out and help a upcomeing company make it big. So I signed with ICW to make more money and just maybe collect a few more souls. Now one man is safe for now cause I don't do anything half assed. Patrick Steel I have no use for a second rate championship, I'm after the great white shark of the ICW, the World title. I don't care if I have to beat the owner half to death or make the slut GM scream I will wear the ICW World title and you all had better get with the program or get left in fear. [/Purple]
John Smith: Well, there's our newest star here on Saturday Night Showdown. The Antichrist Adam Young and he's certainly sure exactly what he wants.
Kash: It's good that he has goals he's aiming for John.
Adam walks out of the ring with fans throwing trash at him as he exits with an evil smirk on his face.
John Smith: Well, we'll be back right after this.
----- Saturday Night Showdown Cuts to a Commercial Break -----
As we return, Johnny Nailz and TJ Black are already standing in the ring awaiting their opponents. 'Artichokes' is playing throughout the arena as Tyler Hiroko steps into the ring. Instantly he walks over and stands face to face with TJ Black. The two have a few short words before Tyler swiftly slaps TJ. Tyler moves backwards and winks at TJ as Johnny Nailz holds him back from attacking.
John Smith: What blatant disrespect shown there from Tyler Hiroko. That sickens me!
Kash: John in my opinion, you have to do what you have to do. He's just getting in the head of his opponent and getting a mental advantage.
John Smith: A mental advantage, pfft. You just wait til TJ's physically beating him around the ring.
“To Hell With Good Intentions” hits over the PA and the crowd erupts in a chorus of boos. Patrick Steel steps out from behind the curtain with his hands to his side, as if he welcomes the boos. He walks toward the ring with a smile on his face, responding to the crowds jeers as he does. When he reaches the ring, Steel rolls under the bottom rope and goes to the center of the ring with his hands held high as the boos continue to pour down.
Stevie Jackson: The following match is scheduled for one fall and is a tag team match. Introducing the first team at a combined weight of 463 pounds. The ICW Television Champion, Patrick Steel and Tyler Hiroko.
Patrick and Tyler nod heads at each other and face their opponents. The fans boo.
Stevie Jackson: Introducing secondly, at a combined weight of 488 pounds. TJ Black and making his debut match in ICW, Johnny Nailz.
TJ and Johnny speak to each other and shake hands. The fans cheer.
Brian Griffin has a few words with both pairs before ushering both Johnny Nialz and Patrick Steel out of the ring. He points for the bell to be rung and the match begins.
John Smith: Well here we go!
Kash: Yes this is it. I can feel some tension in the ring here.
TJ and Tyler lock up and battle for leverage in the center of the ring. The two break up the hold and Tyler hits TJ with a few right hands. Tyler whips TJ into his corner and runs at him with a huge clothesline. Tyler stomps TJ down in the corner before tagging in Patrick.
Kash: Good technique right from the start to tag out and keep fresh!
Patrick enters and bends down to look at TJ. He shouts at him before hitting a right hand and smiling at the booing fans. Patrick pulls him up and onto his shoulder. He runs and hits a huge pumphandle slam. He covers TJ but only gets a 2 count.
John Smith: I thought this was going to be over quick.
Patrick pulls TJ up again and puts him into the position for a double underhook DDT. TJ pulls and fights out though and delivers a stiff kick to Steel. He then bounces off the ropes and hits a superkick.
Kash: Oh what a kick!
John Smith: And now TJ could introcuse Johnny Nailz into the match.
TJ runs over and tags in Johnny Nailz. Nailz leaps into the match and delivers a flying elbow to Steel. Hiroko enters but is hit with a flyin elbow. Nailz bounces off of the ropes and delivers a double clothesline to both men.
John Smith: And Johnny Nailz is on fire in this match!
Nailz now lifts Hiroko into a firemans carry position but Hiroko fights down and drops behind. Steel runs at Nailz but is instead lifted righ up into a powerbomb situation. Hiroko however runs and hits an Enzuguri straight to the back of Nailz head and he drops.
Kash: And what a kick from Tyler Hiroko. That certainly put a stop to Johnny Nailz!
John Smith: All the men are down in the ring, how will this match pan out? Don't go anywhere!
----- Saturday Night Showdown cuts to a commercial break -----
As we return Patrick Steel now has Johnny Nailz in an anaconda vice. He is straining to apply pressure as Brian Griffin is checking on Johnny Nailz.
John Smith: If Patrick Steel keeps this up much longer, this match could soon be over.
Kash: Just as I predicted John. Our champ is going to win this.
TJ Black gets the crowd clapping and stomping to give Nailz some courage. Nailz begins to swing his legs at Steel and tries to stand up. He raises right to his feet still in the hold. He forces Steel at the ropes and on the return hits a scoop slam. He now crawls towards TJ but Steel gets to Tyler Hiroko first. Tyler runs over to Nailz and tries to pull him back but Nailz pushes him away and tags in TJ.
John Smith: And here comes TJ Black!
TJ runs in and hits a series of clotheslines. TJ then bounces off of the ropes and hits a springboard moonsault. He hooks Tyler's leg but only gets a 2 count. He now drags Tyler over to the turnbuckle and climbs it pulling Tyler up with him. TJ sets Tyler up for a Pepsi Plunge.
Kash: He's going for the Extinction! The Extinction!
Tyler however uses his neck to throw TJ over his shoulders and send him crashing to the mat. Tyler stands on top of the tunbuckle before hitting a Frog Splash.
John Smith: Oh what a frog splash and this is over for certain. 1 .. 2 . and oh no Johnny Nailz breaks up the count.
Nailz lifts Tyler up and hits a firemans carry slam.
John Smith: And the Galvanizer. 1 .. 2 .. but Patrick Steel is there to break it.
Steel turns Nailz over and locks in a sharpshooter.
Kash: This has got to be it! TJ is out of the ring and Johnny Nailz can not break the Steel Trap.
Nailz fights to break the hold but Steel piles on the pressure. Suddenly TJ re-enters the ring. He pulls Steel backwards and hits an STO backbreaker before a Reverse DDT.
John Smith: The Canadian Combo! From nowhere.
Tyler spins TJ round though and hits a cradle piledriver.
Kash: Blackout! Blackout! Tyler Hiroko hooks the leg and 1 .. 2 .. 3! They've done it!
'Artichokes' hits and Tyler holds his hands up high. Brian Griffin helps Steel up and holds the winners' hands up.
John Smith: Well what a match but what a victory!
The two men leave together, talking and smirking all the way up the ramp.
Kash: What a match, and what a night.
John Smith: And we will certainly have plenty more like this on Saturday Night Showdown so be sure to join us again next week but for now I've been John Smith, he's been Kash Jones and this has been the first episode ever of Saturday Night Showdown. Goodnight, Godbless and have a safe journey home.
The camera pans around the arena for the last time before fading out to the International Championship Wrestling sumbol and going off air.
