I thought I'd create this thread in order to breathe some more lief into OOC since Patrick started the whole revival of those dead board. Also it was a good chance to show fo my absolutely fail of graphical skills. Feel free to post your ideas on what the card will end up looking like or simply post your thoughts on the match already announced. Either way I don't care! I just hope he can live up to its tagline! Anyways without any furtrher ado my Night of Champions 2011 Match Predictions: Current Night of Champions Card WWE Championship MatchJohn Cena vs. Alberto Singles MatchCM Punk vs. Triple H[/center]

I agree with most, if not all of those matches. The Punk/Nash match is just so meh. The storyline is alright but I feel like we'll look about at that match and say "boy, that was pointless".

Yeah hopefully that can find some way to make it a Street Fight. Because Nash could not wrestle a pure match back in the 90s let alone now...

Yeah I'd really rather not see Punk carry Nash for an entire match.

CM Punk should be in the WWE Title Match. But if WWE use Nash/Punk to push forward a Triple H/Punk Match with Punk going over I'd be fine with watching such a terrible CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash match. Just make sure that either Punk gets screwed or wins clean.

They need to figure out someone else to bring into the title picture. Cena can't be ALWAYS getting a title shot. Well, I guess he can but no one over 12 will like it.

Nah I think he could be, I mean as much as I hate Cena nearly all of his matches have been great (granted usualy because of the opponent). Think about it, his 2009 feud vs. Orton his Mania matches vs. Triple H and Shawn Michaels. His matches against CM Punk. Just to throw osme out there. Hopefully though Miz and Truth screw Cena. Although it would be cool to see some sort of Conspiracy face turn. Just picture this:
NoC: Cena loses to Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk beats Kevin Nash
Hell in a Cell: Alberto Del Rio gets screwd out of the title by Laurinatis (vs. Cena with Laurinatis serving as Guest Referee), CM Punk loses to Triple H due to interference from Alberto del Rio
Vengeance: Truth and Miz lose a match vs. Cena for the WWE Title under controversial style, (John Laurinatis Ref), Masked ROH stars debut (attacking Triple H's stable backstage), CM Punk def. ADR
Lead Up to Survivor Series: It turnsoutt hat no message was ever sent and this whole charade was to make Jhon Cena champion again. Alberto Del Rio takes offense that he was used as a pawn in Triple H's game. However he doesn't show this anger around Triple H, Cena or the rest of Triple H's stable.
Survivor Series: Miz, Truth, Cody Rhodes, Christian and Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison and Ted DiBiase CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Tyler Black and the Kings of Wrestling vs. Triple H, Kevin Nash, John Cena, Alberto Del Rio and Drew McIntyre Alberto Del Rio turns on Triple H's team when it comes down to Cena and ADR vs. CM Punk. The Miz and R-Truth win cleanly over Team Orton.

Don't have a problem with his matches. I have a problem with how predictable it is that he's just going to get a title shot every single PPV. Just throw another guy in there and and a little mystery to who is getting the title shot.

Do a tournament and have John Cena get taken out by The Miz and R-Truth (because they weren't included in the tournament). It continues the Miz/Truth Conspiracy Storyline, Cena isn't in the main event AND we have a nwe #1 Contender (most likely CM Punk or Rey Mysterio, preferably Punk)

And when Cena returns he wouldnt be inserted directly into the WWE title Match. It could spike of some sort of pre-main event feud between Cena and Truth/Miz

Let's look at Night of Champions! First lets just see how good my prediction skills were... Ziggler vs. Swagger vs. Riley? Nope... I hate Morrison xD (0/1) AirBoom vs. Awesome Truth? Check (1/2) Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase? Check (1/3) Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly? Check (2/4) Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett? Nope... Nice to see they dropped the ball there... (2/5) CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash? Got Triple H... win... but was still worng... (2/6) Christian vs. Sheamus vs. Orton vs. Henry? Nope... we did get Orton/Henry Match and a Christian/Sheamus Promo though (2/7) John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio? Check! (3/7) So there you go guys: My terrible prediction skills... although I might be posting some HIAC Predictions that might be better...
*SPOILERS ALERT! SPOILERS ALERT!*
Anyways on to the show: Airboom defeated The Awesome Truth: Am I for Awesome Truth losing? Not at all! Do I love the way Awesome Truth lost? Of course! This match was epic. From the moment the bell rung to the original ref fail when Bourne clapped his hands and gets "Tagged in" to when The Miz and Truth slapped the taste out of the refs mouth. The match was pure genius for advancing the Conspiracy Angle and kept the titles on Airboom without burying Awesome Truth or making Airboom look weak. The match itself was great. The Miz and R-Truth really compliment each other and there entrance has gotta be in the top five of this year. Airboom, why make a cut and shut of Kingston and Bounre's theme and base the ENTIRE team around Kofi Kingston's Jamaican gimmick when it came out that he was from Ghanda back at Bragging Rights 2009? Nice going WWE way to build your first megafae team of the new tag division revival... The match itself was great with the expected spots of Airboom mixing it amazingly with the great in ring chemisty of Awesome Truth. Hell of a match and a great way to warm up the crowd for the night. 6/10 - Grade B
The Miz + R-Truth promo: Great mic work and continuity of the Conspiracy Angle that was pushed forward during the tag match. Bonus points for referencing the main event. 7/10 - Grade B+
Cody Rhodes defeated Ted DiBiase: Dead crowd but massively underrated match. Some great in ring work and chemistry (as expected) of former friends. However it never seemed like the Legacy Match it needed to be having a similar feel to Orton/Rhodes/DiBiase at Mania 26. Hopefully we see a much better match from these two come Hell in a Cell... Although it does seem to be leading to the demasking of Cody... Why did Lawler say that Cody is ashamed to show his face? THE MASK IS SEE THROUGH!!! Bonus points for Cole listing the Hall of Famers who have won the title and went on to become World Champion (and hall of famer) 5/10 - Grade C+
Good Luck in your Future Endeavours: Decent backstage promo with ADR but why is Laurinatis with him? The real magic comes after the transitional champ leaves. Classic Punk pulling a similar promo to what he did on Stephanie at SummerSlam. Great stuff... 7/10 - Grade B+
Oooh look another failing Triple H movie! Best part about living in the UK? We get Night of Champs for free as well as these terrible WWE Production Ads... Everywhere else has to pay... Way to kill a PPV (least it was better than Cee Lo Green at SummerSlam...) Pointless... Movie will fail...
Ooh look we're back! Ziggler wins Fatal Four Way: Great match as expected from these guys. There was an article on Bleacherreport about why this match would steal the show and it would have done were it not for K2 vs. Phoenix and the Main Event. Great mix of Swagger's power, Ziggler's technical prowess, Morrison's high-flying and Riley's brawling. Seemed to be a botch with Morrison nearly injuring himself again but the rest of the match was flawless. Vickie's interference didn't stain the match and the ending with Ziggler winning was pure brilliance with him stealing the win from Swagger after the Gutwrench.Bonus points for commentary relentlessly pointing out that the mid-card titles are a gateway to the world titles.... Funny I thought they were a prop for your great in ring athletes that have zero charisma? So I'm guessing we'll be seeing Swagger vs. Ziggler at Hell in a Cell with Swagger winning and Ziggler moving up to the main event? If not WWE: YOU SUCK! 9/10- Grade A
Vickie Guerrero Promo: Hmm... her promos are ten times less annoying without the rediculously high pitched "EXCUSE ME!"s. Decent promo from Vickie here as expected. She's one of the WWE's biggest heel managers in recent memory and has done wonders for getting over Edge and Ziggler... Time to work her magic with Swagger? Bonus points for referencing the main event. WWE are REALLY trying to add emphasis to this match!
Hmm... a mid-card world title match? Well I suppose its better than WrestleMania... Mark Henry defeated Randy Orton... CLEAN! OMG IT'S A MIRACLE! RANDY ORTON LOST CLEAN! In all seriousness though the match was higher than expectations. Most likely due to the story telling. Orton continuing to fail to do any real damage to Henry before Henry inevitably injured Orton. The ending was pure gold showing just how little Henry cared for his victims. First clean loss Orton's took since Extreme Rules. And probably the only clean loss that didn't involve weapons in the history of his face runs... Should be a decent World Title Match at Hell in a Cell I REALLY wana see Henry just launch Orton off the top of the cell through a table like he threw the Audio Tech... 8/10 - Grade A-
Mark Henry Promo: Wow they were really digging the promos weren't they? Great stuff from Henry possibly the best part of the night. Brilliant remarks against the fans stating tht they never believed in him. This recent push reminds me of The Miz's. Hopefully it lasts as long. Let's hope Hell doesn't thaw too soon I really wanna see if Henry has what it takes now that he's at the top... 10/10 - Grade A*
Kelly Kelly defeated Beth Phoenix: Hmm... never saw that one coming in Phoenix's hometown... Excellent match though from the divas. Kelly Kelly is REALLY starting to prove to me that she has what it takes to be a great diva. She reminds me of Trish Stratus. Started out as a slutty valet then slowly evolved into a more respectable woman... Seriously: Stripper --> Girl Next Door --> Girl Next Door (WITH SLEEVES!) --> Great's Diva's Champion ever? Not quite yet but the match was top notch. One of the best of the night. Only two things bugged me: 1) Why did Natalya even bother pulling Phoenix out of the ring if K2 was playing possum?? 2) A powerbomb into a small package/roll-up? Where did I see that before? Oh yeah: SUMMERSLAM 2011! IF your gonna make the homegirl lose at least make it creative... Hopefully we see Natalya vs. Kelly Kelly vs. Beth Phoenix vs. Eve Torres? Not better way to take the title off of Kelly (or keep it on her) whilst keeping the Divas of Salvation Angle hot then to have Eve take the fall at the next PPV after adding the "side divas" as I will now call them... 8/10 - Grade A-
John Cena defeated Alberto Del Rio: WTF! WHAT THE F**K! So lets look at the championshp history: Extreme Rules: John Cena wins Steel Cage for the WWE Title Over the Limit: Cena retains against Miz in a terrible I Quit Match Money in the Bank: CM Punk defeated Cena for the WWE Title Raw: Rey Mysterio wins the WWE Title vs. The Miz The Same Raw (approximately 1hr 40 mins later): John Cena defeated Rey Mysterio The Same Raw (appoximately 10 seconds later): CM Punk returns! (that's two champs...) SummerSlam: CM Punk defeated Cena for the WWE Title... Back to one... SummerSlam (10 seconds later): ADR defeated CM Punk for the WWE TItle... SIgh... Night of Champions: John Cena defeated ADR.... Seriously? In 5 months you played passy with 5 guys totalling 7 reigns JUST to get the title belt BACK to John SuperCena who already had the belt in the first place? WTF! Now onto the match itself... Average... Not too fond of either of them on the mic or in the ring. Why can Cena only ever pull out a decent match verse the greatest wrestlers? My snackbreak came here... After all this boring BS at the beginning with Cena stealing a car and pointless introductions that wasting 10 minutes of time we finally get into the match and we see... one move a minute? Seriously this was paced slower than Henry vs. Orton and told a terrible story... Maybe the ending is creative? Nope... Loved the superstrength on Cena seriously we expect him to be able to reverse an armbar one of the most painful (and hardest to escape) locks in Martial Arts after a 15 minute borefest and STILL be able to execute an AA and STF? Great no selling there... OK now I am outspoken on Cena but for god sake do NOT have Cena lose at Hell in a Cell... That WWE Title belt loses any more of its value you won't be able to sell it back to the toy shop for full value... 5/10 - Grade C
Main Event: Triple H defeated CM Punk: WOW! No special entrances for their first ever major PPV clash when EVERYTHING is on the line? Hmm.... seems they spent all there budget on the storyless Triple H vs. Undertaker match at Mania... Ooops. Anyways the match was great the type of brawl that Orton vs. Triple at Mania 25 should've been like. Amazing Randy Savage Elbow Drop through the Spanish Announce Table (that was inevitable, why is it always mysteriously set up ONLY on PPVs when theres a no dq match, predictable but brilliant). These two guys told a great story during the match. Great intensity, amazing aggression and some awesome spots. Would be 10/10 were it not for the WCW Classic. Seriously the ending of this match was overbooked to hell... Anyone who didn't know better would expect it to be Russo's work at its finest. The Awesome Truth? I'm for that great way to insert both these top heels back into the main event. Nice beatdown on both guys, showing no alliance. They beat up ANOTHER referee? Looks they may be missing Hell in a Cell... Then there's Mr. Future Endeavoured... Why is he here? Oh he's checking on the referee... Now theres a new referee... Now Punk has been pedigreed... Now Johnny is forcing the new referee to check on the conditioning of the new referee... Now ugh for god sake I'm confused... Long story short: Laurinatis fails to screw over Triple H nie times in a row.... Nash, Awesome Truth, corrupted Refs? It was all there... in the end we get to see a Sledgehammer shot to the face of Nash. (How is smashing a 50 year old in the face with a Sledgehammer any less dangerous or Non-PG then slamming a steel chair into the 40 year old Undertaker's head?). Anyways the overbooked to hell ending pulled down the rating to a 9 but the overbooking did further a few things: Awesome Truth are now main eventers and the conspiracy theory is taking a spotlight, they also have no allegiance. Kevin Nash will continue to be a ratings killer. Laurinatis does NOT want Triple H to be COO (he also isn't afraid of texting in broad daylight any more! Might be firing someone else?). 9/10 - Grade A
Overall the show was a great continuation of Money in the Bank and SummerSlam and continues the run of good PPVs. SummerSlam had SLIGHTLY better match quality (with he exception of Beth vs. K2) but hey at least we got the brawl of No Holds Barred and the controversy of the WWE Title Match all into the same overbooked main event... 7/10 - Grade B+
One last thing to check: The Curse of the Money in the Bank: Rob Van Dam - 2006 Mr. Kennedy - 2007 (lost to Edge due to injury) CM Punk - 2008 CM Punk - 2009 Jack Swagger - 2010 Alberto Del Rio - 2011 Daniel Bryan - 2011 (I have no idea what they are planning on doing with him but he's lost 90% of his matches since winning the case so e goes in this section for now...)
The Blessing of the Money in the Bank Edge- 2005 Edge - 2007 (won form Kennedy) Kane - 2010 Miz - 2010
Anyways what are your thoughts and opinions on Night of Champions 2011?

Very good synopsis of the whole event. 9/10 - A . I still haven't actually had the opportunity to watch any of the event btu I've heard it all went reasonably well and most think it was one of the best of the year.

yeah I'd rank it I'd rank it 4th behind Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and Destination X. Seriously Pro Wrestling is the thing to watch these days... Destination X was a 5 Star event, SummerSlam was great and Money in the Bank is by far the best PPV since Mania 22 in my mind... Of course this isn't taking into account the great events from ROH but hey I don't get those airing anymore Yeah I always enjoy writing on my accord... Roleplaying, discussions in forums and said synopsis/reviews/analysis of events and storylines always seem to get me riled up for a long post...Personally I think I'll apply to BR when I get my grades and head to college.... Don't want to take journalism/writing as a career because I can't standard being forced to do it... but as a little hobby it could be fun...
